Blue Topaz

Topaz in its pure form is colorless. Blue topaz acquires its color through irradiation — either naturally from surrounding rocks over geological time, or through controlled treatment. The blue ranges from pale sky (Sky Blue) through a medium clear blue (Swiss Blue) to a deep blue-grey (London Blue). Brazil is the primary source of topaz worldwide. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Russia also yield notable material. The stone is hard and durable, with a clean, glassy clarity that makes it well-suited to precise cutting.
Blue topaz is straightforward in the best sense: clear color, high transparency, consistent from all angles. It does not perform or demand attention — it simply reads as a clean, cool blue. For people who are direct and uncomplicated, who prefer clarity over ambiguity, who find comfort in the unambiguous. It wears well every day, without needing context or occasion.
