Crystal quartz is the purest form of quartz — silicon dioxide, the most abundant mineral in the earth's crust. It forms in hydrothermal veins and pegmatite rock as superheated water rich in dissolved silica slowly cools and crystallizes. True colorless quartz grows as hexagonal prisms, sometimes reaching extraordinary size. Brazil, Madagascar, and Arkansas in the USA are primary sources of gem-quality material.

Crystal quartz is fully transparent — light passes through without distortion or color shift. The April-born often think this way: directly, without embellishment, interested in what is actually true. Wear it on days that require focus or honest assessment.
