อเมทิสต์สีเขียว

Green amethyst — also known by its mineralogical name prasiolite — is quartz, the same crystal family as purple amethyst and citrine. The green color arises through heat: when certain amethyst deposits are exposed to temperatures above 250°C, the iron within the crystal lattice changes oxidation state and the purple shifts to a clear, pale green. In nature this happens near volcanic activity; most commercial prasiolite is produced through controlled heating of Brazilian amethyst. The result is a cool, transparent green that belongs to the same mineral it came from.
Pale to medium mint, translucent rather than opaque — light passes through it rather than sitting on the surface. It has a cleanness to it, a quietness. Not the vivid green of emerald, not the warmth of peridot — something cooler, more considered. For people who process clearly and move thoughtfully. It wears easily through every season and does not compete for attention.
